What You’ll Do:

Edit and proofread transcripts to ensure they are accurate, clear, and complete.
Ensure precision in legal terminology, grammar, and punctuation.
Research and verify legal terminology, phrases, and procedures, as needed.
Meet strict deadlines while managing your transcription workload effectively.

What We’re Looking For:

At least 2 years of experience in verbatim legal transcription.
Familiarity with various legal document formats.
Keen attention to detail and proficiency in legal terminology.
Excellent typing, listening, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with MAXScribe software.
Certification or training in legal transcription or court reporting.

Minimum System Requirements:

Hard Disk: 250 GB or larger.
RAM: 12GB minimum, 16 GB recommended.

Do I need to be certified or have specific education to be a Medical Transcriptionist?

Our ideal candidate would be experienced in transcription and speech editing of medical record reports, with 1-year of recent on-the-job experience and/or a graduate from a certified medical transcription program.

I have experience in the healthcare industry. Should I apply for a medical transcription position?

How would I be paid? By the line or by the minute?

Compensation is offered by the line or by the minute, depending on the account.

How much would I be paid?

Line and/or minute rates offered are dependent upon experience.

Can I make my own hours?

As an independent contractor, you would not be held to a specific schedule. As an independent contractor, you would have the flexibility to produce based on your availability.

Will I need to use a Virtual Desktop?

For most of our accounts, no.

What platform do you use?

Most of our customers are on Fluency for Transcription Editor; however, we have other customers on different transcription platforms and with different workflows.
