Terra Nova is seeking a full-time, experienced Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support in a well-organized and timely manner to work on-site in our St. John’s, NL headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and schedule appointments, meetings, and events
  • Maintain and update databases, records, and files
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations
  • Perform data entry and scan documents
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, and emails
  • Support bookkeeping, payroll, and billing
  • Manage office supplies and inventory
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

 

In addition, you will have the opportunity to take on the following:

  • Develop and execute social media content to promote the company’s services
  • Monitor and respond to social media accounts, including Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create visuals for social media
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • A growth mindset with a desire to learn and improve
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a related field
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with creating social media ads on Canva is a plus

Compensation range of $42,000 – $46,000 based on experience.

Our ideal candidate would be experienced in transcription and speech editing of medical record reports, with 1-year of recent on-the-job experience and/or a graduate from a certified medical transcription program.

Our ideal candidate would be experienced in transcription and speech editing of medical record reports, with 1-year of recent on-the-job experience and/or a graduate from a certified medical transcription program.

Compensation is offered by the line or by the minute, depending on the account.

Line and/or minute rates offered are dependent upon experience.

As an independent contractor, you would not be held to a specific schedule. As an independent contractor, you would have the flexibility to produce based on your availability.

For most of our accounts, no.

Most of our customers are on Fluency for Transcription Editor; however, we have other customers on different transcription platforms and with different workflows.
